The world impressed Cleopatra. Cleopatra (Cleopatra VII) was the last pharaoh in Egypt, and was becoming an inspiration of book-drama- film-and-operas. Most of us weren't expert on Egyptology (Study of Egypt). But, we've thought that we knew a little thing about Cleopatra, where people said if this Egyptian-woman was mostly beautiful and did the suicide by taking the small snake, poisonous-snake to bite her.
Are these all true ?
Cleopatra wasn't almost-certainly beauty by physically. (Remember, the beauty concept was change every-period and every-people in this planet).
From where we know that Cleopatra wasn't beauty ?
Greek essayist , Plutarch, wrote about Cleopatra after a century of Cleopatra-death on 30 SM, on his book Life of Anthony. He said that Cleopatra as "really hasn't defect-physically, indeed an extraordinary" and wrote if "none can beat her beauty". There was only 10 coins on her-government that showed Cleopatra picture which still in then good condition. The coins showed her fat-neck, crooked-nose, long-ear, jutting-chin. Cleopatra was like the other Ptolemaic, her height was 1.5 meters. So, in our term now she was short-fat-plump but fascinating.
But why Julius caesar and Mark anthony could abide to Cleopatra ?
Cleopatra could speak in 9 languages, had a brilliant brain, and strong charisma. She was erudite, minded-leaders, had extraordinary greatness since childhood, her-talking was extraordinary and tempt, also her sweet-voice. Her policy and her smartness praised by literature of Arabic and Coptic.
So, eventhough she wasn't beauty, but she could win the heart of Julius Caesar and Mark Anthony, the people who dominated in that period.
